10 Kid Friendly Thanksgiving Leftover Recipe Ideas

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, the holiday season is among us! I love to spend this time of year reflecting on all I am grateful for, and spreading joy to family and friends. I have so much to be thankful for, including all of you! Thank you for joining my little corner of the internet and being inspired by the recipes and articles I’m sharing. It means the world to me that we are nourishing our little ones together.

On Thanksgiving Day, you can find us having a more non-traditional brunch and later in the evening having a more traditional Thanksgiving dinner. For brunch, we make Hot Browns along with other fruit and vegetable sides. A Hot Brown is an open-faced sandwich that originates from the Brown Hotel in Kentucky. You start with bread (we use Texas toast) and then layer turkey, bacon, and tomato. The best part: you top it with a cheesy goodness of a sauce. For dinner, we’re all in with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, plus plenty of leftovers that last us days. So, if you’re like us with loads of leftover food, keep reading for tons of Thanksgiving leftover ideas your kids will love!
